Mukdenia is one of the most often noticed, but unknown plants in my shade to part sun garden. This hybrid (Mukdenia and Orestrophe) is new to me and has a much larger leaf than the straight species Mukdenia. Flowers appear before foliage and blooms are done before leaves fully emerge. Leaves can be bright red in the late summer and fall with enough sunlight.
