My perennial beds are looking kind of rough this summer.  I’ve been watering diligently, but in this kind of heat and drought, they’re bound to suffer a little.

I wanted to perk them up a bit—add some interest and color to distract from the worse-than-normal plants. So I asked my friend, Katie, to help me come up with some “junky” garden accents.

As it turns out, Katie had a shed (or two, or three) full of “junk” that was just waiting to come to my gardens. She brought a few pieces out the other day and moved things around, taking a few photos as she went.

She’s got way more junk than either of us need, so we’ve decided to take part in a “junk jaunt” in September.  There will be several area sales, including one at Red Granite Farm.  I will have produce, pumpkins and perennials, and Katie will have home décor, garden décor, repurposed junk, vintage items and antiques for sale.  We are really excited to team up to offer everything you need to make your home beautiful, inside and out!
