‘Jack Frost’ Brunnera is definitely worth the honor of the Perennial Plant Association Plant of the Year.  This easy to grow shade lover is a great accent to the large leaves of hostas, the delicate foliage of astilbe and the dark green of ginger root.  The silver foliage really pops in the darkness of a shade garden and the delicate blue flowers are a real bonus!  I have not noticed this one to reseed like the plain Brunnera macrophylla, but if it did, I don’t think I’d mind!  It is a low growing, mounding perennial that only reaches 12–15 inches.

I will have these available this spring at the market for $10 each.
